The Western Cape Association for Persons with Disabilities is a registered non-profit organisation, affiliated to the National Council for Persons with Physical Disabilities in South Africa.
The Association was established on 25 February 1937 as Cape Cripple Care Association and was the first of its kind in South Africa. Over the years the organisation has undergone several name changes and is today known as Western Cape Association for Persons with Disabilities, fondly shortened to WCAPD. We are proud of the over 70 years of continuous service to persons with disabilities and their families.
